Page 1 of 3 Peace At Last Sept. 10, 2011 Newsletter By Ruth Berger I went into the house where my dear friend’s daughter was dying, to comfort and give aid to her. Instead I found peace and solace. Always the giver, her smile lit up the room. “I am so glad you’re here.” She reached up for a hug. She was lying on a hospital bed in the living room surrounded by people, young and old, all smiling and praying for her. This was not the usual gathering I’d witnessed in the past when someone was close to death. She looked like a white rose fully bloomed and I decided to call her Rose, the woman who was always helping others, bringing them gifts, but mostly saying the right words to ease their fears.
