A student asks: “I’ve been studying auras for years and many times someone in a class will tell another person what color their aura is. Often I suspect they aren’t really seeing the aura, only projecting what they think. How can I tell when I’m seeing an aura and not assuming what I think their aura should be?” A great question and one that I thought about for weeks
Projection is a personal thought, feeling, or impulse about someone.
Can your feelings/emotions get in the way of your intuitive seeing?
Absolutely. When you like people, you are more open. When you get angry, your aura seeing is colored by your own dark thoughts.
Many years ago I became the manager of an exclusive women’s clothing store in an affluent part of town.
One morning shortly after I started working in the store, a heavy set woman in a house dress with flip flop shoes came in and went to the section of the most expensive outfits.
I asked if I could assist her and she said, “No. I’ll just look for what I want.”
I presumed she was only a looker, not a buyer.
Ten minutes later she asked me to ring up the four outfits she’d found – which to my surprise and delight, added up to my biggest sale.
Her attire had thrown me off and I had jumped to a conclusion. I looked up her card in our sales records and discovered she was a frequent buyer and our best customer.
I hadn’t taken in her aura, only her outer appearance and made an erroneous judgment.
Impressions can be right on or wrong.
When a student tries to read a person’s aura with thoughts such as:
- this is a spiritual person – so I’ll assume her aura is white…
- or
- I don’t like this individual’s manner. His aura has to be dark…
- or
- This man is rich and famous. He’s got to have a vibrant green aura.
Thinking what the aura color should be will cast doubt on your psychic sensing.
Seeing an aura is instantaneous, without time to make a judgment call.
Thank you Aurelia for a great question.
